LINERS & COVERS
Still using those tarps and water bags each year? Noticing that your liner looks like the white on this page? Call Dundas Valley Pools! We can freshen up your pool with a new, custom or standard-size pool liner or safety cover.
We started back in May of 2016, operating strictly in the Ancaster and Dundas area. At that time we worked as a two-man company focusing strictly on openings and closings of pools as well as maintenance and repair work. Since our humble beginnings, Dundas Valley Pools has quickly grown from a small pool company with limited service offerings to a full-service pool contractor with knowledgeable technicians that can take care of any pool-related job—big or small!
Although we certainly do a great job at our core business of opening and closing of pools, we continue to exceed the expectations of our customers in our custom vinyl liner installation services, winter cover installation services as well as our above ground and in-ground pool installations.
From basic clean and balance services to more technical services such as pool renovations, equipment installations, and pool builds, we do it all. Give us a call today and let us exceed your expectations while making your dreams come true!
WHY CHOOSE DUNDAS VALLEY POOLS?
Why should you choose Dundas Valley Pools as your pool contractor?
We feel this is one of the most important decisions that a pool owner can make because it can have a huge impact on the quality of their pool, the quality of their service experience, and the quality of their finances! If not decided on carefully, the wrong choice in pool service company can lead to slow service delivery, poor service delivery (untrained technicians, high school kids, etc.), or simply companies that charge through the roof for their services.
The way I like to put it to customers is that they pretty much have a Ferrari in their backyard.
The cost of a pool nowadays can be so high that maintaining it can be equal to maintaining a Ferrari if a home owner isn’t careful with who they trust to maintain it.
Friendly and knowledgable.
By choosing Dundas Valley Pools, you can rest assured that you will have friendly and knowledgeable staff coming to your property and servicing your pool each and every visit. From basic maintenance services such as scheduled vacuum clean and chemical balances, filter cleaning, and equipment installs to our more technical services such as leak detection, safety cover and vinyl pool liner installations, new pool installs, and pool renovations, we can do it all.
Just as important:
We can do all this while giving you the peace of mind that you’re getting an honest and fair price for each and every service we provide. At Dundas Valley Pools, we want to have you as a customer for life and we pride ourselves in having the best prices for all of our products, services, and pool projects.
WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY ABOUT US
I am a new pool owner and found Dundas Valley Pools
online when searching for someone to open my pool. Not only did they allow
me some flexibility with timing the pool closing, but they have continued to
help me throughout my journey of owning this pool. In the middle of the
summer my pool kept going cloudy and I just couldn’t figure out how to fix
it. Dan talked me through getting the prime back and although we scheduled a
sand change, upon visiting the property, they found out that there was an
issue with the jets and resolved the issue without me even needing to get a
Thank you so much guys

I am thrilled to have found such an affordable pool service for my pool. To be able to open my pool for such a good price and good timing was wonderful. Most of the companies near me are booked for weeks and they seem to charge so much money. I will definitely use Dundas Valley Pools for all my future openings and closings!
Sandy, Burlington, ON
I had purchased a liner for my on-ground octagon pool in Dundas and had planned to install it myself but gave up when I realized I was in over my head. Luckily I called Dundas Valley Pools and Dan was able to install the liner just a week or so after our phone call. He made it look so easy!
Tim, Dundas, ON
My wife and I had a rental property in Hamilton we were putting on the market and we needed the pool opened for the viewings. When we got Dan to open the pool, I realized I must have thrown the pump out into the garbage during our spring cleaning. Dan was able to quickly get a pump for our pool and install it within just a few days after opening our pool and finding the issue. I am so glad to have been able to get the pool looking good and to have sold the house!
Rob, Hamilton, ON
We’ve been pool owners for 12+ years now and have cycled through a number of companies in the area. Price and service quality have been two major factors in us changing companies. It seems like prices just keep going up and the quality that these companies provide doesn’t seem to be that exceptional. My husband and I have been so happy with Dundas Valley Pools from the minute we started getting our pool serviced by them. From simple cost-saving tips to friendly and knowledgeable service, I feel like I’m getting a great pool professional every time they come to our house. In the past, the pool has gone green sometimes more than three times in one summer and since hiring Dundas Valley Pools it hasn’t been green once!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR CLOSINGS?
For a full pool closing, we lower the water level to winter pool level, blow all the pool lines and equipment with air to remove any and all water, then install winter parts, add chemicals, and install the winter cover.
Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE YOU COME CLOSE MY POOL?
Please have your winter cover out for us along with all your winterization plugs and accessories. Please have your pool cleaned or schedule a clean with us prior to your closing. To save 15% on your closing, make sure you prepay via e-transfer or you will be charged full closing price. If you wish to pay in person, please have cash, cheque, or credit card available on the day that we close your pool so we can process the transaction.
Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CLOSE MY POOL?
The cost to close your pool can range from $269 to $299 depending on your choice of closing options. For our standard, full pool closing, we charge $299. If you can lower your pool water yourself prior to the pool closing, we charge a partial closing for $269. These prices do not include add-ons such as water features, additional pumps, spillover spas, or winter chemical packages. Q: WHAT IF MY POOL COVER IS DAMAGED?
We can inspect your cover and determine if it can be fixed. In the event that you need a new winter cover altogether, we can provide you with a free quote for a brand new high-quality safety cover.
